Latest Dyno Results measured 14/9/2007

These latest readings were taken using a pair of DynaPack 3000 'no wheel' dynos at the premsies of FIA Endurance team Hartley Racing in Reading.

With no issues attributed to wheel slip, or roller speed plus elaborate apparatus to provide cool moving air to the induction system.

Results:                            Power = 316bhp    Torque = 207lb/ft

Prior to this K2RUM's engine was run on a rolling road at Road 'n' Track in Thurrock, Essex on 18/5/04. The chart below shows the maximum  readings which  taken at  287.3 bhp and 197.1 lb/ft. This was a fresh (350 miles) std stroke 88m bore engine on new pistons, rings, bores and bearings hence it will likely loosen up more.

The rolling road, a Sun Ram 12 had difficulty measuring the power due to the low gear required to get the full rev range below 126mph (the rollers maximum) causing loss of traction.  The rolling road operator lifted at maximum roller speed, so the full power reading was never obtained.

Looking at the chart you can see that the power at 7656rpm was IRO 265bhp and the unit measured up to 287.3 bhp in an overspeed condition on the rollers.  So the engines full potential was not at the time measured so the cars best kept secret was only revealed when the car .
