Who can
attend?
The
4 Counties Car Club Meetings are open to anyone who wants
to attend. You can even attend if you drive a Westfield, Elise, Atom or any
other proper lightweight sportscar.
Ideally, the rules are:
....but we know Nobles and the like don't satisfy these conditions, so perhaps we should say anything which will be interesting. Just don't turn up in something designed for rallying or off road use, or anything with an aftermarket subwoofer, and try to kid us its a track orientated car!
Is The 4 Counties Car Club
in any way affiliated with the Lotus Seven Club or Caterham Cars?
No,despite being founded by members of the
Lotus Seven Club, the 4 Counties
Car Club is entirely independent
Does it cost anything?
From time to time a tin may appear at meetings for small
donations (circa 50p) to be made towards administration costs. If you were a boy scout,
think of it as Subs.
Can I bring my wife or
girlfriend?
Of course. Be aware certain regulars are cautious regarding
disclosure of car related expenditure in the presence of other members better
halves.
Can I bring my husband or
boyfriend?
No, come on your own! We'll be nice to you and won't dribble -
except at the cars.
How should we behave?
We have no special rights in the pub and you are requested to
drive in a manner considerate to other patrons of the pub, hotel guests and
local residents.
Who is responsible for
the meeting?
You agree before attending that there is no organiser as such and
that you: 1) attend the meeting entirely at your own risk, and 2) are entirely
responsible for your own actions 3) wont hold any other person you encounter
through the club liable for anything, no matter how serious.
