Copthorne is a village
outside Crawley on the northern boundaries of West Sussex, England, close to
Gatwick Airport. It is easily accessed from the M25 and M23 at the Crawley junction,
and for those traveling from the South or from Kent and East Sussex via the
A264 close to its intersection with the A22.
The Hedgehog provides a
charming mix of a great pub and eating house with distinctly different and modern
accommodation. Inside the warm and friendly atmosphere and is always full of
action. Just 7 miles from Gatwick it’s an ideal stop over and is also a great
base from which to explore the rich wildlife and walks to be found in West Sussex.
Local attractions include theatres, and many country sports. A short drive will
take you to Chessington World of Adventures, Hever Castle and Gardens and the
coastal towns of Brighton and Worthing.
On the LAST WEDNESDAY of every month, Caterham,
Westfield and
owners of other fine lightweight sportscars meet at the Hedgehog as a social gathering where enthusiasts (not just
owners) can meet and exchange views, stories and sometimes, even facts, regarding
their favorite toy.. Whether it be road cars, cars for track days, of the
serious competition driver, you'll not be disappointed by the resources, skills
and friendships you will find at the 4 Counties Area.
The meeting starts
at 8.00pm from Spring to Autumn, but if its a good warm and sunny Blatting night, people
are often up to 1 hour early.
Like all great sportscars, we are put away in dry
storage in the winter.
See you there......
